Our annual August conference will be held both in-person and online. The in-person conference will take place on Saturday, August 5th at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz, California, while the online conference will happen the following Saturday, August 12th, via Zoom. You can attend both or just one date.
Part of the Círculo mission is to support each other and create a community of writers without hierarchies or judgment. In that spirit, every workshop is open to all writers, from those just starting their writing journey to published authors. Both dates include break-out sessions where participants can generate poetry and prose. The conference concludes with a "Reading and Open Mic" open to all participants.

Seeing everyone's faces was wonderful. Hearing the poetry that was read reminded me how important it is to hear a variety of voices as a writer. I have some lists of topics and more to inform my writing after completing the exercises.
I found the workshop very helpful and informative. What was presented took me forward with checking out other poets, and more.
The morning opening ceremony and introduction was a great way to begin on a note of spiritual creativity. The breakout I participated in was superb in all ways.
The conference was very helpful especially the workshop I attended. The conference organization was perfect. I like to thank the organizers for all the work they did on every one of its aspects but especially on the Zoom connection.
I was inspired by the presence of so many - our need to be together and write.
It was both inspiring and motivational. And totally germane to our current world.
Thank you so much for contributing to our financial future. Círculo is a non-profit. We appreciate your support.
