Círculo de poetas & Writers is a community of authors dedicated to the creation, promotion, and dissemination of multilingual multicultural poetry and prose through workshops, publications, and public presentations. Founded in 2015, the organization encourages diverse voices and is open to new and established writers. Circulo de poetas & Writers seeks to advocate for and represent writing communities of color and their contributions on local and national levels.
BLACK, AAPI, Indigenous peoples--we stand with you in solidarity--Tu lucha es mi lucha. Círculo de poetas & Writers stands in solidarity with BIPOC communities and acknowledges that we must strive toward social justice and the safety of BIPOC bodies in this nation. We value the voices, stories, and experience of BIPOC peoples while condemning the violence, harassment, and bigotry faced by our communities in this nation.
Membership in Círculo de poetas & Writers is open to all writers in any stage of their careers who wish to engage collaboratively with writers from communities of color. By working with each other, we hope to expand and develop our diverse voices into a supportive network that promotes POC in the literary arts.
